Around eight years ago we moved to beautiful Upper Wensleydale where I have been able to pursue my love of ceramics full-time.
I have been making pots and sculpture since I was very young. For a number of years I was working with clay almost everyday. After completing a summer of teaching pottery I followed a totally different career path.
During my working life I returned to the stress relieving, relaxing benefits of sculpting with clay many times.
My ideas come from what I experience everyday, running and walking in the fields and hills where we live.
All my work is hand-built individually or thrown on my antique wheel . Each piece is unique.
I am now working from a studio at Farfield Mill, Sedbergh Cumbria. If you are interested in a private lesson/ workshop in this beautiful location please contact me on my mobile number or via email. I share the studio with my friend Carol Yates, a wildlife artist. Our studio is accessible with an accessible loo very close by. If you are a wheelchair user you will be very welcome to come for a pottery session and we will make sure you are comfortable with a suitable place to work.
My Tall Tree pots are for sale in Yore Mill Gallery, Aysgarth. This gallery is in the beautiful setting next to the fantastic waterfalls. The gallery is run by Julie and Steve. They have a wide range of local art work as well as items from further afield.

I am selling some of my hares and other work through the lovely Ellie at Chapel Gallery Hawes. She is a fabulous supporter of local artists and makers.
I am selling in my local artist cooperative. We are open everyday in the beautiful village of Askrigg. Come in and view my ceramics and the wonderful handmade crafts of many local artists. We staff our own shop, we know our products and provide real customer service.
